- Make sure your 48 Volts Phantom Power is on. The end of the microphone should be connected to the XLR Input on your interface in order for the 48 volts to be applied. Condenser microphones require additional power unlike dynamic microphones like the enCORE 100 and enCORE 100i.
- On your software application, make sure that your correct INPUT and OUTPUT signals are routed properly on BOTH your computer sound menu and application preferences. This means that your interface should be selected as the main microphone device on your computer. For testing purposes, we suggest directly connecting your microphone to the interface and bypassing all other hardware equipment.
On a recording application, we suggest removing or bypass all plug-ins for testing purposes.
- If a “Direct Monitoring” feature is available on your interface, we suggest toggling it to hear a signal before or after the analog/digital conversion on the interface.
